Peek of the Week of Dec. 1-5
Spelling – This week we will be learning how to spell Christmas words. Our spelling words are: Jesus, Christ, Christmas, Bethlehem, shepherds, Joseph, Mary, star, angels, joy, manger, stable, donkey, singing, lights, snowflakes, stockings, ornaments, presents, December. * Please notice that some of the words need to be capitalized. This is very important. I will count off one point if a word needs to be capitalized and it is not. I will count off two points if a word is capitalized and does not need to be capitalized. Be careful!
Vocabulary
1. boring – not interesting or exciting
2. ducked – to bend down suddenly
3. sense – meaning (as in “make sense”)
4. suppose – to think or imagine
5. tractor – a farm machine
Reading: Our story this week is: “The Day Jimmy’s Boa Ate the Wash.” Genre: Fantasy
Math: We will have a math test on Ch.5 on Wednesday. Timed test will be 25 subtraction problems differences of 3 in 2 minutes.
Social Science: We will finish our unit on government this week.

*Friday, the 5th, the Lower School will have the privilege of watching a Flamenco Dancer perform. This performance will take place in Eckburg at 1:00pm and you are invited to come!
