Spelling: This will be a review week in spelling.

Reading: Our story this week is: “The Day Jimmy’s Boa Ate the Wash.” Genre: Fantasy
1. boring – not interesting or exciting
2. ducked – to bend down suddenly
3. sense – meaning (as in “make sense”)
4. suppose – to think or imagine
5. tractor – a farm machine
Math: We will begin Ch 6.
Timed tests: Wednesday: 50 addition problems, sums of 18 in 3 minutes
Thursday: 25 subtraction problems, differences of 4 in 2 minutes

*We will be collecting items as our Christmas Outreach beginning Dec. 7-16th. You should have received an email from your teacher.
*Dec. 9th: A Taste of Mexico We will be celebrating a small sample of Christmas in Mexico at 1:00 pm with Mrs. Lingle.
*Dec. 10th: Christmas sweater day You may wear festive Christmas wear.
*Dec. 14th: Second grade spelling bee at 10:00 AM
*Dec. 16th: We are inviting the DeRenne 2nd grade over for some Christmas fun.
*Christmas party: December 18th at 11:00 This is a half day for all and non-uniform day!
