Our story this week: Abuela
Genre – Fantasy – A fantasy is a story about events that can not happen in real life.
We will look for characters that do things real people can not do and a setting that may be different from the real world.
Vocabulary words
1. flock – a group of birds
2. glide – fly smoothly without effort
3. harbor – a place where ships dock
4. soared – to fly high
5. swooping – to fly downward fast
Math – We will pick back up with Ch. 11: 3 digit subtraction with and without regrouping.

*A few reminders for 4th quarter:
*All Bible verses will be written (no longer said verbally) on Thursday in cursive. Spelling does not count but do not forget the book of the Bible, chapter, and verse. Remember, Bible is a grade on the report card.
*All assignments, except math, will be written in cursive. Please make sure your child does their homework in cursive.
*For this first week back, we will do the spelling test in print and cursive. Following each week after, they will be in all cursive.
*Thursday, March 31st: report cards go home.
*Thursday, April 7th: class pictures
*Friday, April 8th: Stanford Practice test
*Monday-Friday, April 11-15: Stanford Achievement Testing
*Saturday, April 23rd: Super Saturday
