Genre: Realistic Fiction – Realistic fiction tells about characters that are like people in real life. *We will not be reading the stories, “From Seed to Plant” and “The Secret Life of Trees”. We will read these stories in the spring.

Reminders and Requests:
*Tuesday, Nov. 11th, is a school holiday to celebrate Veteran's Day.
* The Thankful Plateful Project is due on Friday, November 14th.
*Please remember to put your child’s name in their sweaters, coats and jackets.
*Second Grade will be doing Chapel on November 21st. Chapel is in the Old Upper School Gym and begins at 8:45. We will begin to practice our parts and send them home this week.
*Dessert Tasting – November 25th at 1:45. Please join us for this fun event. Your child may be checked out after the dessert tasting. We will be sending home a sign up to bring desserts.
*Friday, November 21st is a non-uniform day. Please bring in 25 cents. This will be our chapel day so please have your child dress appropriately.
*Thanksgiving Holidays – November 26-28. School will resume on Dec. 1st.
