Genre: Realistic Fiction – Realistic fiction is a story with characters and events that are like people and events in real life.
Our focus this week in reading will be compare and contrast.
Vocabulary
1. announced – made something known to many people
2. arrived – came to a place
3. glum – gloomy; sad
4. members – those who belong to a group
5. rebuild – make something again; build again
Math: We will have a math test on Ch 4 on Wednesday.
** We will have a timed test on Wednesday with 25 problems minus 2 in 2 minutes. Example: 8-2, 4-2.
Social Science – We will have a test on weather on Monday.
Reminders and Requests:
*Tuesday will be our field trip to Savannah Children's Theater. Please have your child wear the blue SCPS t-shirt with either jeans or khaki shorts. Parents are invited to come and watch the children perform the play. You may arrive at 10:45. We will have lunch in Daffin Park after the play. Parents are invited to join your child for lunch. Please make sure your child has a sack lunch and drink. You are more than welcome to check your child out.
*One last reminder to turn in all Boosterthon funds as they were due last week.
*Friday is a non-uniform day. Please no costumes and don't forget your quarter!
