Reading: Our story this week is: “Helping Out”
Genre: Nonfiction: Photo Essay – A photo essay tells about a topic using photographs and words.
1. alongside – by the side of
2. chores – jobs that have to be done regularly
3. engine – motor
4. simple – not difficult, fancy or complicated
5. sprout – begin to grow
6. tool – an object that makes a job easier
Math: We will continue with Ch. 4 which is 2 digit plus 2 digit addition with and without regrouping.
*Timed Test on Wednesday, 50 addition problems/3min/sums to 14. Practice flash cards.
Social Science: We will have a vocabulary test on spiders on Wednesday. We will then begin a unit on weather.
