*Dr. Palmer would like each student to learn how to correctly spell his/her teacher's name. This week it will be an extra word on the spelling test. Your child only needs to learn his/her teacher's name not all 3.

Genre: Folktale… A folktale is a story that has been told for a long time by a group of people.
Vocabulary Words
1. enormous – very large
2. granddaughter – a daughter of one’s son or daughter
3. grew – became larger
4. planted – put in the ground to grow
5. strong – powerful
6. turnip – a kind of root vegetable
Math: We will have a test on Ch 3 this Tuesday.
*On Wednesday we will have our timed test, 50 addition problems/3 minutes/sums to 18
Social Science: We will have a test on weather on Wednesday. A study guide has come home.

*Oct. 7th: picture orders are due
*Oct. 3-7: Homecoming week (Please look for an email from your teacher about the events.)
*October 10th is Columbus Day and a school holiday.
*October 17th is Parent/Teacher Conference Day. The students do not attend school this day either. Please look for an email from your teacher about scheduling a conference on Oct. 17th.
