Bible Verse: Hebrews 13:17 "Obey your leaders and submit to their authority."

*Students will take their spelling test on Friday.
Grammar: Our focus will be to distinguishing between complete and incomplete sentences.
Reading: Our story this week is: The Mixed –Up Chameleon by Eric Carle. The genre of the story is a Fantasy. A fantasy is a story that takes place in a make-believe world.
*Students will take their reading test on Friday.
Vocabulary Words: Students will need to be familiar with vocabulary words for the reading comprehension test each week.
Vocabulary Words for the Week:
1. dull – not bright or clear
2. exciting – lively and interesting
3. handsome – good-looking
4. hardly – barely
5. sideways – from side to side
6. sparkling – shiny, bright
7. spotted – saw
Math: We will begin Chapter 3 in math this week. This covers place value to 100 and money. Our first timed test will be Wednesday, the 20th. This will be a practice test where no grade will be given. It will cover 50 addition problems with sums to 10 in 3 minutes.

*The water fountains in our building are currently not working. Please send your child with a water bottle every day.
*Don't forget to return your dismissal form and pay your supply fee by Monday, the 18th.
