Math – We tested on the first half of Ch. 3 last week. This week, we will continue with the second half of Ch. 3 and learn about money.
Timed test – Wednesday 50 addition/3minutes/sums to 12. *We noticed a tremendous difference with the children's confidence as well as their grades when we lowered the sums. We will work our way back up to sums of 18.
Science – Communities Our first test will be on Wednesday, Sept. 16th. A study guide went home last week.
Creative Writing: using descriptive words to talk about our best friends
Language: We have been learning the characteristics of a complete sentence. We will have a quiz on Tuesday.
Homework:
Every night you should have a math workbook page. Tuesday and Thursday: read weekly story
Tuesday: practice math facts for timed test
Thursday: study for reading and spelling test on Friday

*On September 17th Savannah Christian will celebrate its 63rd birthday. Happy Birthday, SCPS!
*We will have our first field trip on Oct. 6th. The classes will be performing a play for the parents at Savannah Children's Theater. Parents are invited to come around 10:45 to watch.
